Plate shears, as the name implies, are the machines for cutting plates, generally metal plates. It belongs to one of forging machines. The model is calculated according to the ordinary Q235 plate, for example, qc12y-6 * 2500 is to cut 6 thick Q235 plates. If it is to cut Q345 plate, the selected model will be x1.4 times. If it's shear stainless steel, the model should be x1.6-2 times. When cutting 10-40 plates, the effect of the gate type is better. The plate shears are generally divided into hydraulic pendulum plate shears and hydraulic gate plate shears.

Preparation for use of plate shears:

1. Connect the wires, add oil according to the equipment lubrication regulations and check the oil volume of oil cylinder (46 hydraulic oil) before starting the plate shearer.

2. Before plate cutting operation, it is better to check whether the material and thickness of the lower plate are in accordance with the drawing, and whether the surface of the plate is uneven and defective. Pay attention to the texture direction and determine the cutting order. Know what you know

3. Generally, there are different thickness and material gap adjustment tables on the plate shearer. Adjust the upper and lower tool gaps according to the plate thickness, generally 8-10% of the thickness of the plate to be cut. Adjust the position of the rear retaining material, check whether the cut material is accurate and whether the width of both ends is consistent.

Notes for shearing of plate shears:

1. Open the pressure gauge to observe the oil circuit pressure during the shearing process of the plate shearer, and the pressure shall be less than 1.5MPa when shearing 1.0mm stainless steel plate. It is not allowed to cut the plate with thickness greater than 6mm in violation of regulations to avoid damage to the machine tool!

2. In the process of cutting operation, check the size of the sheared plate frequently.

3. The cut plates shall be placed in categories, stacked in order, marked with name and size to protect the plate surface from damage.

4. When cutting the sheet material of small parts, it must be cut after the pressure column of the plate shearer can be cut, and pay attention to the operation safety.

5. It is strictly prohibited to wipe the machine tool and worktable and place sundries or tools to prevent the blade from being damaged by the advancing blade. When cutting, the pressing plate must be pressed to prevent the material from rebounding and hurting people

6. Always pay attention to whether the locking mechanism, clutch, brake and foot switch are abnormal or out of order. When cutting, concentrate. In case of abnormal equipment, stop cutting immediately and cut off the power supply to inform the maintenance personnel for maintenance.

Factors affecting shear resistance:

For the shearer workers, if they can understand the shear resistance factors of the shearer, they also have good guidance for their own operation.

Generally speaking, the shear resistance of the hydraulic plate shears is related to the factors such as steel plate raw material, shear temperature, shear speed, shape of the shear blade, gap between the shear blades and the relative cutting depth

Metal properties: the higher the strength limit of the material, the greater the shear resistance, but the lower the plasticity.

Shear temperature: it mainly refers to the temperature when the steel plate is sheared. The higher the temperature is, the smaller the shear resistance is and the greater the relative cutting depth is.

Deformation speed: theoretically, the deformation speed is directly proportional to the shear speed, and the shear resistance is also directly proportional to the deformation speed, but in cold shear, the deformation speed can be ignored. Blunt radius: the larger the blunt radius, the greater the shear resistance.
